The FIRST castor wheel designed specifically for wheelchair basketball.
The Perfect Castor Wheel - ONLY for Wheelchair Basketball (indoor use only).
The castor wheel comes complete with performance bearings and spacers, which are specifically designed for indoor sprung wood flooring and how the wheelchairs move during a wheelchair basketball game.
The size is 72mm in diameter which replaces castor wheels between 70-74mm.
The castor wheel is made from a unique super soft plastic compound which reduces vibrations and dirt pick up while providing great grip when turning.
The castor wheel profile is semi aggressive so only the perfect amount of wheel is touching the floor. This provides the perfect amount of grip for fast rotation and control without reducing straight line speed.
The castor wheels are fitted with specially made Ceramic ABEC-9 bearings which have been designed to spin freely to support the game performance. They are made from Stainless Steel, so no RUST! as well as our Titanium Gold plated coating for extra durability.
All castors are fitted with floating bearing spacers to make fitting easy and prevent rotation during pressing.
If you ride an RGK, then a special spacer is supplied which replaces the existing grey fork spacer which allow the screws to be done up tight so you don't lose another screw or castor wheel again.
What's in the Box:
- 4 x castor wheels
- 8 x RGK spacers (if selected)
- 1 x Sheen sticker
BEARING CARE: The bearings are dry ceramic bearings which mean they spin so effortlessly making the 'first push' easier and faster. Unlike greased bearings that can hold the dirt and dust, these are super easy to clean. We recommend cleaning every 3 to 6 months with a general bike degreaser depending on how dirty and sweaty the playing courts are. Remove the shield and spray heavily while rotating the bearing to free the ceramic balls up. If they don't spin like new, repeat the process and let them soak for 10 minutes. Dry and re-fit when spinning normally. NOTE: Do not use water or WD40 to clean. If the bearings start to make any noise we recommend applying a single drop of Core skate lubricant or similar to the back of the bearing race (opposite side to the shield). If you have any issues or need help, just let us know and we can advise.
